As of today social media is world wide and we all have it or have had it in one form or another. It plays a big part in keeping us all connected and allowing us to meet new people. I personally have met many people through some outlet of social media and to this day we are super close. I love the benefits of social media. However I recently was in thought about how many people we friend on social media and make sure we like and love and double tap their posts and comment one way or another. How often we send a message to our loved ones and friends and new friends alike. Send electronic happy birthdays and happy thanksgivings, merry Christmas’s, happy New Years, and I miss you’s. When It comes to real life we don’t often make the phone calls, text instead and though many of our people are right in the same town or area we don’t physically meet up with them as often as we can. The word we can be replaced with I.
I’m so guilty of this.
Where it is important to meet new people and share yourself with the world and to nourish new friendships, it is just as important to build and nurture the relationships on the outside of social media. BE In Touch with everyone in your life and not just electronically. The worst feeling is to be unfriended in real life.
BElieve, BE Free, BE YOUtiful… BE!
