A building is simply a building. The church is made up by the congregation not the actual building. A store is not a store without product to be sold. Even a person can live in a shelter or a half way house, an orphanage, etc but it doesn’t quite mean it’s home.
You have heard the expression “home is where the heart is”. Yes you have I just used it. Lol. Well if that’s the case then my home is in Oklahoma where my mommy lives. I simply just live in NYC. So if home is where the heart is, wouldn’t it be safe to say that we must love because without love we are homeless?
Imagine being homeless (like physically homeless). It’s cold, lonely, scary, along with hundreds of other negative was of feeling. While you are imagining this awful feeling, allow the feelings to enter in, if someone was there to help you in your time of need. Showed you some attention and let you know you mattered. A hug, a smile, a hello, an “I love you” a phone call, a dollar, a meal, encouragement, LOVE in the many different forms it comes in. Imagine that! Sure you would still be homeless in the physical sense. But if love was being shown in a way wouldn’t you BE Home?
Let’s spread love in the many ways we are capable. Help someone in need even if a stranger. Smile often, hug, listen, advise when requested. Everywhere you go make it home for all you come in contact with. The love will come back to you if not right at that moment then at the right time. As you spread love you will be surrounded by love and as where your heart is you too will always BE Home.
BElieve, BE Free, BE YOUtiful… BE!
